How to convert your automobile to run on water, you say? Interesting concept to say the least and depending just who you ask they would be calling you insane right about now. Of course, nine chances out of ten, it would be someone from an oil company somewhere. It is not within their best interests to allow the common folk to have the means to get out from under their thumb or, at the very least, pinch them back a little bit.

I know what you’re thinking though. What about hybrids, you ask? They’re on the market – people are buying them so what you are saying is flawed. Not so. They are sold as high premiums when they cost less to manufacture. They also still use a combustion engine so you still need gas. They will claim gas prices are up because there are hybrids on the street because if you drive a hybrid, you lose less fuel – less fuel means less demand meaning you need to charge more to make a profit in order to bring the product in to a location for the only purpose of trying to sell it cheaper then the guy down the road.

It is possible, however, to take it to the man yourself by converting your car to run on water. It’s possible and doesn’t hurt anything, It is not technology which alters total function of your automobile’s engine. so if you don’t like it, you can remove it easily. You are not actually replacing gasoline with water so please don’t put water into your gas tank – you are simply making the combustible engine more efficient.

Unfortunately, I cannot share with you the intricate details, plans or step by step instructions – the inventors would be on my case and they don’t offer help if you mess with something else – and neither do I. Fortunately for you, I can explain in general terms what is being done, where it goes and how it is supposed to work.

First thing first is that a small container filled with water and a little baking soda is installed. It should fit snugly in the engine compartment. Make sure it gets filled with water as well as a bit of baking soda AFTER it has been installed. Other connections are installed that will eventually lead into the water with battery cables. At the point when the battery fires, the electrical current strikes the water. A chemical reaction happens as the molecules in the water break down to form what scientist’s call “Brown’s Gas”. The vacuum of the engine sucks Brown’s Gas into the manifold and then it finds its way into the engine, at which point it is mixed with your regular gasoline. This makes the gasoline’s combustible properties occur more efficiently than usual – a more complete combustion. This means your car expels less energy, less gas and your mileage is increased considerably so you use less gas.

The first thing you should do when you even start to think about buying a moped is start by checking the local laws. The next thing, after really buying the moped, is to go and license it as well. The money should not really be an issue because the insurance costs for mopeds is really low. And except for the cost the insurance doesn’t differ that much from a motorcycle one. You should check online, there you can find some good insurance deals for mopeds. Mopeds are liked by thieves as well as something they can sell very easily but for just a fraction of the cost you can insure yourself against it.

Getting some discount

You should have a good look around before you pick your moped insurance there are a lot of companies that are offering discounts and promos. Another thing to look for are insurances that will insure your accessories like saddlebags and other stuff for just a bit more per year. Being insured will give you a good feeling when you are cruising down the road. The money you pay for this kind of insurance is nothing compares to your car. And for such a low premium you get the best coverage.

Nowadays you can go online on the internet and ask for a quote at different companies. You will just have to fill out an online form to get a quote in you e-mail inbox or even directly on the web page. From the comfort of your own home as they say.

When you take out an insurance on your moped you will have to license it and that means you will have to pay that as well. But the thought of driving down the route without having to worry if what you do is legal or not should make up for that. There are some states where a teenager has to have insurance to even drive on the road. You can find insurances for as low as $100 so the price should not keep you from doing so.

When you are looking at companies that you can use you should be aware of the fact that there can be hidden costs, so always ask if the quote is covering everything and that there will not be any extra charges afterwards. Maybe ask your friends and family if they have any experience with the company you have an eye on or if they know any firm where they have their mopeds insured.

In the end it is always the best thing you could do, having a moped insurance. You never know what can happen on those roads these days and the thought that you are covered for any thing is a pleasant one. If you are ever involved in an accident there is a company you can fall back upon to handle all the legal affairs.

The best thing of course is to drive safely and to never have any cause or need to make use of your insurance.

Frank Strider loves to talk about motorcycles and all the things related to it. Visit his website if you want to find out more about a very cheap bike insurance or maybe insurance for motor scooter.

You can’t seem to go anywhere on the Internet today without reading something about how to save money by converting cars to run on water. You’ll also see plenty of sites with manuals available to guide you through the process.

With gas prices averaging $4 around the country and rising almost daily, the idea of using your tap water to power your SUV probably sounds like a dream come true. But is it only a dream? Are these people selling the manuals just taking advantage of desperate consumers who want to save a few bucks? Or are they offering a real alternative to high prices and a dependency on a disappearing fossil fuel?

Water 4 Gas Facts

Some people who claim this is a scam do so because of a basic misconception about the process. Although some sites almost suggest you can completely replace your gasoline with water, the truth is you can’t. Basically, you’re creating a water hybrid car. That means you use a combination of water and gas to power your vehicle.

As a result, you won’t completely end your dependence on gasoline. Instead, you’ll reduce your car’s need for gas which will lower your consumption and keep more of your hard earned money in your pocket.

Is it a Scam?

Once you realize that what is being proposed by this process is not much different than the systems already being used by true hybrid cars on the market (although they are using electricity instead of water), then the claims don’t seem as outlandish or as easy to dismiss.

In fact, the Internet is just as full of people who claim they have actually used the conversion successfully and have cut their fuel usage. While some users have claimed to have doubled their mileage, you may not reap those types of rewards. A more realistic improvement is 50%. That means if you currently can go 24 miles per gallon you can expect to boost that to around 36 miles per gallon.

Will I Really Save Money?

If you read the details of how the water hybrid system works, it makes sense. Lots of people are already purchasing the conversion manuals and trying them out. You see more claims of success than cries of scam on the Internet – that’s a good sign.

Of course, you will need to spend money to try it for yourself. After you purchase the manual, you’ll need to spend roughly $60 on parts. If you feel comfortable doing the conversion yourself and you have about an afternoon to devote to the project, you won’t need to pay extra for labor costs.

Improving your gas mileage even by 50% of less will save you money. However, using water and less fuel can also help your car last longer and require fewer repairs which is another way of saving you money down the road.

In addition to the monetary benefits, most people who praise the Water 4 Gas process point out that it’s better for the environment, too. Instead of emitting toxic chemicals into the air when you drive, all you’ll be spewing from your tail pipe is water vapor. That may not save you money but it might help save the planet.

The legendary Jaguar XE series of fine motor cars was directly developed from the inspiration of Jaguar engineers on a rooftop watching their city of Birmingham England being bombed from the sky during the darkest days of World War II.

These engineers sketched the plans for what became the legendary Jaguar engine amazingly and simply on cigarette box carton. . This new engine was so good it became the standard that went on to become the stock Jaguar powerplant for the next 30 years. The best words that best describe this classic engine are - efficient, smooth and powerful. Indeed it was one a mechanical genius, Harry Weslake, who provided the key to the design – a light weight alloy cylinder head with dual cams and angled valves in a hemispherical combustion chamber. The final marvelous touch of genius were the two SU carburetors fed the 3.5 liter straight six, producing a 160 horse power

The new Jaguar was so good that it deserved a whole new car to be designed and built around it. The engineering felt that the motor was so exceptional it needed its own automobile – one worthy of such a powerplant. Otherwise it was if their work had been wasted. 1948 became the release date of this project. What emerged and created a storm from automobile enthusiasts was a low slung car body mounted at was then a fairly standard box-frame chassis. Independent front suspension was by torsion bars and the solid rear axle was by torsion springs. With all the power and effect the final finishing touches that were almost essential were 12 inch diameter drum brakes. Indeed the Jaguar XK120 was timed at a top test speed of 132 miles per hour

Of course the Jaguar XK proved to be a major hit – especially in the lucrative American export market. At a $ 4,000 sticker price 90 % of factory output was exported outside Britain – most of it to the American automobile market. It did not hurt the reputation and sales of the Jaguar .XK series that the car proved to be a killer on the Le Mans auto racing circuits. It was the Jaguars that were to become the inspiration for the classic “sports cars” that were to come – especially the venerable Chevrolet Corvette and Stingray.

The Jaguar line grew and evolved further with each racing win. In 1954 the next step occurred -The classic 1948 era Jaguar XE120 was replaced by what was to become a short lived production run model – the XK140. Disc brakes had made a great impression on the Jaguar racing team crews – including car design team as well as the actual drivers. Along with this went “unitary construction” a major upgrade and update from the former hefty chassis being applied from Jaguar cars from 1955 onwards.

Still the venerable motor based on the cigarette pack sketches lived on with the introduction of the next phase – the XKE Jaguar. Along with that 3.8 liter what then was a major innovation then - electric fans, which were added after exceptional results on the racing circuits with Jaguar as well as other racing cars. The XKE was considered at the time to be the sleekest automobile body shape seen anywhere and at anytime on the globe. Performance was considered mind numbing – 150 miles per hour top speed with 0 to 100 miles per hour in an extraordinary 16 seconds. A driver could accelerate from 0 to 130 miles per hour in less than 30 seconds.

It is no accident that the Jaguar XK series has gone on to be an automobile classic – both in terms of innovative styling, performance and handling.

It was about 2 months back that I finally made the tough call; I had to sell my Porsche. It’s a lovely car and I’m more attached to my Porsche then anything else, but the credit crunch was hitting my wallet in several ways, and cutbacks in my expenditure were called for. It was not an overnight decision, and despite serious efforts I could do nothing about the monetary mismatch. The only solution was to sell my Porsche, which was my most expensive overhead.

As I picked up the telephone to contact a dealer to sell my Porsche, I changed my mind because I really didn’t want to let her go. So I sat down and relooked at the costs associated with having my Porsche. I was hoping that something had changed overnight. The list began with the borrowing cost. A Porsche is not ‘just another car’ and this special tag comes with a cost. I had taken out a substantial loan to buy her, which amounted to sizeable interest charges every month. The next column was easy to figure out, it was the insurance fee, and it was rather steep as well. The third category in the list was the taxes, followed by the maintenance charges. While half of the maintenance costs were planned and reported in the car owner’s manual, there were also the unexpected maintenance costs, and they could be very expensive. Last but not least was the depreciation cost. As I relooked at the figures they confirmed my decision; I had to sell my Porsche.

The next task was to find the right way to sell my Porsche. I was going to pick up the phone and contact a car dealer, but I decided to research the subject, to ensure I got the best possible deal. It took me a little time, but it was worth it. I started my research by speaking to friends, and then followed it up by looking on the internet. The research results were, to sell my Porsche to a car dealer who specialises in buying prestige cars. I was informed the company will buy the car directly from me, and they make the whole transaction really painless.

Before I sold my Porsche I was advised by my friends to take some simple steps, which could mean a higher return on my car. The overall idea behind the prep work was to convey that my Porsche has really been special to me, and that I’d gone to great pains to ensure my vehicle was in excellent condition. Firstly I cleaned my car, both inside and outside, because it is important to make a good first impression. Cleaning the car also meant I checked every nook and cranny to remove all my personal items. The engine was another section, which would be under scrutiny and chances are, would not be clean. Therefore I made a point to include it in the cleaning exercise. I then ensured all the paperwork for my car was up to date and included all the maintenance records, such as the oil changes were listed, that the MOT was valid, and the Road Tax was in date.

When I was doing my research I learnt some important lessons and I’d like to make a cautionary statement for those contemplating the self-sell process. Neither the websites nor the print advertising associates will offer the greatest help when it comes to selling such a beautiful machine as a Porsche. Whereas, with a company that specialises in buying prestige cars, they know exactly what they are talking about, and will make it pleasure to sell my Porsche to them.

Ruby Stone wrote the Article ‘What Needs to be Considered When I sell My Porsche’ and recommends you visit http://www.iainmutch.co.uk/sell-your-car/porsche.php if you’re saying to yourself “I’m thinking of selling my Porsche!”

You know that awful sinking feeling when you pat your pockets or scrabble through your handbag looking for keys? There you are, expecting a happy little jangle of metal but instead what you get is a brooding silence.

It’s bad enough when it’s the house keys that have gone astray. Chances are that your missus or man about the house has another set and you will just have to put up with a bit of nagging about your general carelessness and perhaps a long suffering sigh or two from the other half.

But when it’s the car keys! Well, that is another story entirely. What a nightmare. It’s no good the wife telling you that you should have got a spare key cut either. It’s a bit late for that now and if you want to get into your car and drive home tonight you are going to need some help.

You could try calling the dealer and asking them about getting a replacement key. Trouble with that is you can hear them over the telephone rubbing their hands together in glee and thinking, ‘Yes! Another lamb to the slaughter!’. When they actually get round to telling you how much your replacement key is going to cost try hard not to laugh. The dealer is not joking. It really does cost that much to get a car key replacement from the dealer.

You might ask yourself What on earth justifies a fee of hundreds of pounds for a little sklif of metal and a transponder. But thats the answer, right there. Today’s transponder keys give every car dealer in the country an excuse to shake their heads mournfully before relieving you of wodges of hard earned cash and laughing all the way to the bank.

But wait! Did you know that wherever your vehicle happens to be, it is more than likely that there is a trusty ‘man with a van’ all ready and willing to speed to your aid, get the car door open and leave you clutching a shiny new key all for a fraction of the price of the dealers?

Auto Locksmiths are popping up all over the UK. It’s probable that there are a couple in your area which offers the pleasing prospect of being able to compare prices and services offered before choosing which to summon to your rescue. Many operate 24 hours a day, weekends and holidays included and have a freephone number. In fact, it would be wise to find a couple of car locksmiths in your area and give them a call. Tell them your car’s make and model and ask for a rough estimate of costs. Pick one or two that have the best customer services and the most reasonable rates and keep the number in your wallet. That way, when you really do have a lost car key emergency, you are prepared for it.

Here are a few contacts you might start with:

The Auto Lock Smith

London, Essex, Kent Hertfordshire, Middlesex

Tel: 07739 383344 or 0800 1583798

Most students go to college far away from their homes. Even if it is just an hour or two away, they still need transportation. Many universities don’t allow freshmen to have cars on campus, so that gives them a year of saving to come up with a down payment for their new car. However, sometimes it’s hard for freshmen to work. Luckily, there are always student credit cards to help out! A great solution to the financial crunch many college kids find themselves in is a student credit card. That’s because students can apply for the card, receive it within a couple weeks, and then have the buying power they need. They will also start their credit history, which they will need if they want to buy a car!

IT is highly recommended to begin this process when a student turns 18. That means they will get their first credit card, start building a credit history, and then have the credit rating and buying power to get their first new car in their own name!

Some credit cards also offer points for money spent throughout the year and then give discounts on cars. There are many student credit cards out there and some offer special benefits for buying a car. So, students need to do the research so they know what kind of vehicle they want to purchase so they can choose the best card for them.

How to Get Started?

Students should start the process by doing a little research. Once they find the right credit card then they need to apply for it. Most credit cards can be applied for over the Internet and even receive an instant credit decision. This is great because it lets you know immediately if you are approved or not. If you are approved, you will be given your credit limit so you know what your buying power will be. This is excellent for those who want to start shopping around for the car of their dreams.

Once you have the credit card then you can start shopping for the car you want. Not to mention you will know how much of a limit you are working with as far as a down payment goes. You may want to talk with a dealer and find out what kind of budget you are looking at so far as what credit you would be approved for. This is important because if you want a $20,000 vehicle but your credit rating, down payment, and income only qualify you for a $12,000 car then you will want to know that so you can shop within your budget.

Getting your first car can be a hassle when you’re on the hunt. Make sure that you take your time when you’re making a big purchase like a car, especially if it’s for school. You’re going to want something that’s dependable and something you can rely on. If you make a bad choice, you may be stuck with it!

During holidays, police authorities are in full alert for drivers under the influence of alcohol. Cheap car insurance quotes and rates depend on all drivers that keep claims at a minimum. Memorial Day is a good celebration for family gatherings and to remember loved ones but always keep in mind that Memorial Day is not about partying and reckless driving and speeding. Not only will it help you avoid automobile accidents but it also helps in saving gas. But if this cannot be avoided, you better be prepared with your car insurance and you better make sure that you get best insurance rates.

When you are looking for auto insurance, you better be sure to check if the insurer offers a 6 month or 12 months payment plan to help you manage and direct your auto insurance payments better. And many auto insurance providers offer a variety of discounts that even includes alumni discounts. So if you are a college student, make sure to ask if your college or university is qualified and entitled for a discount. When you are starting on your own, every detail and information helps. College students especially do not consider the expenses of getting caught without auto insurance or the expenses for getting into an automobile accident.

In customizing your car, make sure that it is safe to drive and the insurance company might want to have the itemized bill details about everything that has been modified and done to your car. There are some car owners who do the works themselves and because of this, parts could be improperly installed and does not match regulated standards or be illegal to drive on public roads. And worse, if you’ve gotten yourself involved in an accident, the authorities could find out and they might even discover that the accident is caused by illegal modifications and improper installations. And in result, the insurance company will refuse to cover you.

There are several insurance companies that specialize in antique and customized cars all throughout the United States. Check on Classic Auto Insurance, Antique and Custom Automobile Insurance, Continental Western Group Tri-State Insurance, Hagerty Insurance, Grundy Worldwide. It is good to consult these specialized auto insurance companies because they can understand the real value of your custom paint job, chrome accessories and other specialty car enhancements. They can as well provide appropriate price for your car. Standard insurance companies on the other hand ay not be able to quote you accurately that might end up having an inadequate coverage for your investment.

Just in case you are planning to pimp out your ride, you have to consult first the insurance agent for some important matters. To modify your car is such a huge investment and it may not be covered by the insurance. Always ask first the insurance company about your plan to help you know the do’s and dont’s in auto insurance coverage, that is to know if they are willing to insure your new ride and the total cost for having your modified ride still covered. If ever your present insurance company would not cover your modified parts for their ordinary policies, then most probably you must add an endorsement to your policy to extend your comprehensive and collision portion of your auto insurance policy.

Monitoring whether your Medicare coverage have any gaps will be beneficial to you when you grow old and retire from working. A lot of elderly Americans these days have a hard time with paying for medical expenses they assumed would already be covered.

In case, you do see gaps in the Medicare coverages (or you might be worried in the future you will), it is advisable that you purchase Medigap. It is designed to fill in the gaps in your Medicare coverages. These are usually sold through private insurance companies and are standardized and regulated by state and federal law.

Haven’t been insured in six months or more? You’re in luck if you live in Florida.

There’s a new law signed last Wednesday by Gov. Charlie Crist that lets insurance firms to offer a basic package for health plans without the usual required coverages. The good news? It might just cost Floridians $150 a month.

We mentioned last time about short-term health insurance, now we’re going to talk about the opposite, the long-term health insurance.

Long Term Care Insurance or LTCI will be useful when you’re in the twilight of your years and probably no more resource for money to pay for a normal health insurance policy. However, deciding when to buy an LTCI policy will depend on a lot of factors, as buying them while you’re young means less expensive premiums to pay but you may be paying it over a very long time. It’s suggested that one should buy this type of insurance at around the 50’s to 60’s age range.

Why would you want to get a short-term health insurance?

You just graduated from college and is now looking for a job, in the meantime you’re no longer covered by your college and parent’s health insurance.

You just found a job, but the health insurance benefit kicks in after three months

If you fall somewhere within these types, then you might be interested in looking for a health insurance that will temporarily cover you and/or your family.

Most short-term health insurance has a coverage ranging from 180 days to 12 months tops. It’ll cover accidents or sudden illnesses. You’ll be in charge of picking your own doctor or clinic, and get in and out patient services as well.

The negative side of it all is that it won’t offer all permanent plan benefits. It won’t include pre-existing conditions, routine medical exams, preventive care, optical or dental care, or pregnancy and childbirth expenses.

Health insurance plans sometimes don’t cover the college student kids. There’s a statistic saying that there are over 5 million of them not covered by their parents’ health insurance. This is where the college comes in and offers health insurance for their college student. The question now is, should the parents sign the papers?

Having a Health Insurance policy usually made us feel secure for the future health of our family. However, according to a survey, only 7 percent of those who have health insurance say they are prepared for any health concerns in the future.

The main reason is that the remaining 93% feel that they have very limited coverage and are now paying more of their share for medical costs. 158 million people covered by employer health insurance programs are paying higher medical expenses due to various combinations of factors like higher premiums, less extensive coverages, and larger out-of-pocket deductibles and co-payments.

Buying a used truck is something that is very easy to do. With the price of gas being extremely high you can get a great deal on just about any truck you want. However, you should not let yourself be taken advantage of by someone. Make smart decisions by following the recommendations below.

One of the best things you can do when you buy a truck is to examine it. You should always examine the vehicle in clear, daytime weather. Check the mileage on the car and always verify it is correct by using previous service invoices and mileage information recorded under the hood or on the door jam. Also, make sure you look very closely at the dashboards around the gauges and question any scratches, screws, or otherwise spotty workmanship around that area. If you do spot this, you might be looking at a car that has an odometer that has been tampered with.

Check the engine and make sure that all fluids are the correct colors and do not look/smell suspicious. Also, do not be afraid to ask the salesperson any questions you might have. You are making them money and they should be ready and willing to assist in any way they can make the sale. If they seem nervous or otherwise distracted really put the pressure on them, or you might be getting sold a car that is less than it appears.

Make sure you always run a check on the title and get an auto history report before buying any vehicle. Trucks especially can be made to appear more than they are. Experian, the credit report company, is one of the best resources for finding out what accidents a car has been in. Also, when you check the title of the vehicle, look at how many owners the vehicle has had in the past few years. If your truck has had three owners in three years. You might be getting scammed out of something!

You should always insist on an independent inspection if you are buying the car from a private party. If it is a dealership and it is a certified used car, then you should not have much to worry about. However, be sure to take a close look at the car as even dealerships can use methods to scam you. Once you are ready to buy the car, bring a check for a few hundred dollars under the price that the salesperson quoted you as the “best” price. If they want the sale, they will sell you the car. Also, do not be afraid to ask about getting a warranty. On many dealership “certified used” cars warranties will be included, however, that does not mean that they will be. If you are in doubt on any thing during the sale, question it and you should get an exact response. If you are given a flip-flop answer, you probably do not want to do your business at this location. Make your used truck buying experience a positive one.
